Catholic TV is a Boston based network that started in 1955. It broadcasts 24/7 and offers a wide variety of programming. If you are familiar with EWTN, then you will know what to expect. The thing that makes this station unique is that its new website and the live streaming video is wonderfully easy to use. So no matter where you live you can watch Catholic TV in real time on your computer. Access is quick and the picture quality is very good. Much better than YouTube. Among the standard shows that you would expect on a Catholic station (Masses, apologetics and praying the Rosary), there is a morning talk show that really stands out. Called "This is the Day", the show has a laid-back feel while covering religion and current events. Hosted by a lay Catholic and a Priest, it airs Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:30 am. A nice way to start the day; much better than tuning into the View.
