The most interesting fact is that St. Francis contributed so much to the Catholic religion, but today he is remembered by most Catholics as the Patron Saint of Animals. Among his contributions, St. Francis gave us the Creche (Nativity Scene), the Stations of the Cross, and the first account of Stigmata.
