Catholic People Spotlight: Laura Ingraham

I have known of Laura Ingraham for years from her appearances on EWTN (a Catholic cable network). Later, I found out that she is a conservative talk show host who has had her own syndicated radio show since 2001. She also is a columnist, a New York Times best selling author, and a television commentator (usually appearing on Fox News). She is a convert to Catholicism, and has a very solid understanding of the religion. No matter your political views, you should try catching her appearances on EWTN. She has the ability to put current political issues in a Catholic context. Considering she started working in Washington about twenty years ago, she knows her subject well. She spent two years working as a speechwriter for Reagan. After graduating the Virginia School of Law, she became a law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and Ralph K. Winter.
Today, Laura is best known for The Laura Ingraham Show on radio. She can also be seen filling in on The O’Reilly Factor. Her latest book, Power to the People, discusses the importance of family life and being involved in the popular culture to try and evoke positive change. The latest news on Laura is that she just adopted a child from Guatemala, which she has named Maria Caroline.
