Catholic People Spotlight: Alex Debogorski Continued

On July 1st, I wrote an entry about Alex Debogorski from Ice Road Truckers, just to let people know that there was a Catholic out there that wasn’t camera shy when it came to talking about his religion. In every show of the second season, you can see him Cross himself during the introduction. In today’s culture, that is almost unheard of (I can’t overstate how unusual that is).
What really surprised me was the overwhelming response I received to the post since the last episode aired on Sunday. On Sunday, we found out in a preview clip that Alex may have a blood clot in his lung. The concern over Alex has led people to the blog and have inspired them to send in comments of sympathy for him and his family. Many are very anxious to find out how he is doing, and can’t wait for the next episode. I think this concern goes beyond just good television. For those who would like to know his condition before Sunday, I was sent an article that has a little information about his heath. It was from March of this year. Although the entire article is pretty good, take a look at the last section Dealing with Health Issues. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/north/story/2008/03/20/ice-road.html

Alex sent me an update on how he is doing and what he has been up to lately-click on link below:
